THEATRE TAPAS

THEATRE TAPAS at Teater Møn
Welcome to TEATER TAPAS at Teater Møn, summer 2026. A very special invitation to an evening where we let curiosity, joy and whimsy fill the Sugar Factory in Stege.
Three evenings during the months of July and August, we invite you for the fourth year in a row to a very special and appetizing event, filled with selected performing arts experiences and small dishes in between. It is tapas in a double sense, and it is a festive and unpretentious format, where you get one on one experience during the evening, both culturally and culinary. We guarantee that you will leave with a full heart and the taste of summer.
The concept is easy, summery and loving: Once again this year we have invited artists to present a 15-minute work. All performances play in a loop throughout the evening, starting every half hour. A total of 5 performances of 15 minutes and 5 tapas servings in between make up these wonderful evenings, which are held in 5 unique rooms in the Sugar Factory in Stege. The audience can watch the performances in any order, and therefore three festive hours have been planned in the name of community, art and food.
The audience will be able to experience everything from physical theater, dance, performance, storytelling, circus, music to a mix of genres. The artists will be announced on an ongoing basis.
For us at Teater Møn, Teater Tapas is one of the highlights of the summer. We brought the concept with us from Teaterøen in Copenhagen, and have experienced how the audience has also welcomed the invitation on Møn. Every year we are delighted to feel that we can offer communities through artistic experiences in small, intimate settings and through the taste of food at the long tables. This is one of our most important visions – to be hosts, to open spaces, to break bread and to let art, conversation and meetings fill. And extend the short moment we are here with small magical moments. Teater Tapas are evenings with small magical moments. Welcome to. We look forward to seeing you.
