WELCOME TO: TO THE MØØN 2026
International Festival 25., 26. & 27. September
For the sixth year in a row, we open our doors to our unique festival, welcoming outstanding international theatre companies and festival presenters from around the world.
It is a vibrant weekend where audiences, artists, volunteers, and guests watch performances together, share meals, and become part of one community. Everyone is welcome, but advance booking is essential as seating is limited.
Most performances take place indoors, while a few will be performed outdoors if the weather allows.
Come and experience a great mix of dance, physical theatre, and contemporary circus!
A special gathering of festival makers and artists hosted by Asterions Hus & Entr’act at Teater Møn and Sukkerfabriken on the island of Møn in Denmark.
To the Møøn brings together artists and organisers for a weekend of creative exchange and inspiration.

Asterions Hus / Teater Møn believes that the To the Møøn festival can help shape the place we call home while strengthening democratic exchange. In June, we had the pleasure of hosting the Finnish researcher Johanna Tuukkanen, whose work explores, among other things, festivals as infrastructure. She argues that this requires continuity, strong local roots alongside international collaboration, and opportunities for everyone to take part through shared, collective experiences. As Tuukkanen put it: “Trust is a cultural resource.”
Her words resonated deeply with us, as her thinking and values are closely connected to our own hopes and ambitions for To the Møøn.
We look forward to welcoming you to three days dedicated to the performing arts.
You are welcome to join the entire festival or simply take part in the events that suit you best.
